Projects at Squaredance
Below are a few of the projects I led as the sole Product Designer at Squaredance, guiding the human-centered design process from concept to launch.
Tools I used
Project 1: Campaign Discover
Helping Partners find their next succesful partnership
Background
Partners were recommended redundant campaigns and began associating suggestions with irrelevancy. We needed to surface high-potential, relevant offers to Partners. Solving this would increase new partnerships and drive traffic to the platform.
Solution
We redesigned the Discover page to break away from previous poor associations. The page leverages sliding carousels to offer relevant and personalized recommendations We also enhanced the search experience to further simplify campaign discovery. Empty states to suggested relevant alternatives.
Results
Post-release, clicks on Campaign cards surfaced in the discovery page rose by 23%, and campaign applications via these cards increased by 11%. The redesign improved user engagement by surfacing more relevant, actionable suggestions.

Project 2: Partner Profiles
Leaning into the Partner profile to inspire trust
Background
Brands wanted to understand who their Partners were, what they've accomplished, and their future plans. This transparency was currently lacking, hindering Brand's ability to evaluate Partner legitimacy and move forward with revenue generating partnerships.
Solution
We leveraged Partner Profiles to address this gap. We introduced widgets and a case study page, giving partners the tools to enrich their profiles with content that conveyed credibility. Thoughtfully designed empty states highlighted the advantages of filling out profile information. Active states displayed valuable data that reassured brands.
Results
Over the 2 months post release, the enhancements fostered greater trust, driving more partnerships by 15%, and overall traffic volume increased by 11% after the release. Widget adoption hovered over 42% per user.
Project 3: Identity Verification
Filtering out bad actors, and making it fun
Background
Bad Partners on the platform posed a risk, driving fake customers to Brands and wasting their resources. To build trust and ensure a safe, purposeful community, we needed to filter out these bad actors.
Solution
We introduced an identity verification step during Partner signup, ensuring only verified users could access the platform. We designed distinct states (empty, in progress, success, fail) for the verification with fun animations, to add delight to the process. We added verification badges for existing Partners to signal trusted profiles to brands.
Results
We saw a 43% reduction in fraud related support tickets, indicating a significant decrease in fraudulent activity and an improvement in trust across the platform.

Project 4: Notification Settings
Letting users choose how they are informed
Background
We identified the need for users to manage their notification settings independently, empowering them with ownership over what they are notified about and how those notifications occur.
Solution
We implemented a self-serve feature for partners to manage their notification preferences. Notifications were grouped into intuitive categories, allowing users to toggle them in bulk or adjust settings at a granular level. Clear, actionable copy ensured users understood each interaction and its impact.
Results
We saw a 65% decrease in support requests related to notification management, indicating increased user autonomy and reduced friction.
